Black and very lightly marbled with contrasting white for a lovely bar, our charcoal soap is meant as a facial bar. Unscented because we didn't want to introduce anything that could irritate problem skin. We also used a high percentage of olive oil for its gentle cleaning properties.
We created our charcoal soap by customer request. She claimed it was a must to help control her acne. We were intrigued as we get a lot of questions about acne control. After a little research we decided that we wanted to use activated bamboo charcoal for its absorbent properties.
Our first experiments with charcoal made an ugly but effective soap. We didn't like the drying effect it had on our skin. We added a bit more jojoba to counter counter the drying effect and we were very happy with the bar.
Don't expect miracles, but with regular use, our household saw an improvement.
Note: charcoal can stain clothing or other surfaces.

Olive Oil, Water, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Palm Kernel Oil, Jojoba, Bamboo Charcoal, Tocopherol(Vitamin E)
