Cold Process Soaps
Lye soap, homemade soap, cold process soap; these are all the same thing. Sodium hydroxide and water (or substitute liquid such as milk or aloe) are mixed with fats and/or oils until they chemically react in a process called saponification; they turn into soap. The soap is allowed to sit for a minimal 4-weeks to cure, which finalizes the saponification process. When all ingredients are properly measured and mixed, the final product is gentle and beneficial for your skin.
Cold processed soaps maintain all of their natural glycerin and often have other beneficial ingredients such as herbs, aloe and goats milk, just to name a few. This soap will not dry out your skin because they clean without harsh stripping the natural protective oils in your skin.
The second reason you will love cold process soaps is for the fantastic aromas and colors. These soaps really are fabulous for the senses. We tend to lead busy, fast paced lives that give us very little time to ourselves. One of the few places we can stop and relax a few minutes is in the shower or bath. Our soaps make this a time of simple pleasures, close your eyes while washing with Citrus Sunrise and you feel like your in a citrus grove with the sun warming the fruit on the trees. Ocean Breeze whisks you away to sandy beaches and ocean tides. Our soaps turn your personal time into a luxury.
